Join Britsburgh at the Omni William Penn for a sumptuous afternoon tea as we celebrate Queen Elizabeth II in her Platinum Jubilee year! Britsburgh Board Member Stephen Shandor will compare and contrast the reigns of the United Kingdom’s two longest-serving monarchs. Between the two of them, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II have been on the throne for over two-thirds of the last two centuries!

We have reserved the Monongahela Room at the Omni William Penn to provide the backdrop for an authentic British afternoon tea. You will savour tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, fruit, and your selection of tea. To enhance this unique experience, please feel free to wear your hats or come in suitably “royal” attire!

NOTE: Vegetarian options are no longer available at this time. Please do not indicate preference for Vegetarian when registering.

About our presenter: Stephen Shandor is a member of the Britsburgh Board and Executive Committee and a life-long anglophile. At last fall’s Britsburgh Festival he presented “A Toast to the Life of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh” at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Highland Park. The presentation at the tea will be filled with images and anecdotes drawn from the lives of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II.
